Our Promise: See it, measure it, feel aero

How can you gain speed without pedaling harder?

Every watt counts — and so does your budget.

Gain 1 to 5 km/h with no extra effort

See, in real time, how many km/h your position is costing you. +1 km/h at 25 km/h; up to +5 km/h at 45 km/h. Better than a €5000 bike.

We’ll show you the numbers…
From 25 km/h, air eats ~70 % of your power (up to 95 % at 45). Shrink frontal area, get speed back. Elbows in, head low, narrow bars — AeroX shows the gains as you move.

👉 Finish rides getting home faster without pushing harder — slicing through air. That’s performance and fun.

Gain real speed, not virtual power

On a trainer you progress in a virtual world. With AeroX, you save 40 W — and get faster outside.

More about real-time analysis…
Smart trainers push you to chase power — great for virtual fun. Outside, you’re not always faster, and aero may feel awkward. That’s 40 W lost. Real-time aero feedback both optimizes your position and turns it into a habit, so you enjoy outdoor rides and perform when it counts.

Train like a pro — without an elite budget

Pros master power, heart rate… and aero. A wind tunnel? From €1500. AeroX brings the same lever to your smart trainer — with just a webcam.

Understand how pros train…
Classic plans cover power and HR. But TT champions also hold power in optimal aero. Testing aero is out of reach for 99 % of riders (wind tunnels, velodromes, sensors). AeroX changes that: real-time position data from home training.

👉 What pros pay thousands for, you can now use at home — with that feeling: “I’m training like them.”

Ride faster without spending thousands

90 % of aero drag is your position — not bike, wheels or helmet. Learn to optimize it for less than aero socks.

More about cost savings…
Deep wheels, high-end frames, fancy helmets… marketing sells a few watts for thousands of euros. In reality, your body creates most of the drag. The best bike won’t fix a position you can’t hold for 5 minutes. Invest where it pays: your position. Your top-end gear deserves top-end training.

AeroX really works

I gained +3 km/h — from 36 to 39 km/h — on a 2008 €700 bike. No new bike needed.

I’ll tell you everything…
While building AeroX, I learned to hold aero from 25 km/h: narrower aerobars, longer posture, head and shoulders low. Even uphill, once speed passed 25, I stayed aero. Result: 36 → 39 km/h on a 2008 €700 bike, same FTP. I used to get dropped on the flat — not anymore. None of it without real-time feedback. — Olivier D., triathlete, AeroX founder

Frequently asked questions

Why AeroX?

80% of your effort fights the air — AeroX shows you where to get it back
From 25 km/h, aerodynamics accounts for 70 to 95% of total resistance — it’s the number one factor slowing you down, far more than weight or equipment. Yet no standard smart trainer measures your aero position. On Zwift, MyWhoosh or Kinomap, you push harder without ever knowing if your position is costing you 30 or 50 wasted watts. AeroX changes the game: using a simple webcam, the app analyzes your silhouette in real time and calculates your frontal area (CdA). You instantly see how many km/h and watts each adjustment gains you. Results measured across 300+ sessions: +2 to 3 km/h of speed and 30 to 40 W saved at the same effort. That’s the equivalent of 30 to 45 minutes gained on an Ironman — without pedaling harder, just by optimizing your position.

What gear do I need?

A computer, your smart trainer, a camera
To use AeroX, you need a computer (macOS or Windows), your bike on a support, and a camera — your laptop's built-in webcam, a USB webcam, or even your smartphone over Wi-Fi. That's all you need for basic aero analysis: AeroX measures your frontal area (CdA) in real time with no additional sensors. For Power Mode (position/watts link) and Speed Mode (resistance linked to your position), a Bluetooth FTMS smart trainer is required: Wahoo Kickr, Elite Direto, Tacx Neo, Saris H3 and most recent models are compatible. Heart rate monitors from Garmin, Polar and Suunto are also supported. Setup takes 2 minutes: place the camera about 1.3 m in front of the trainer, launch AeroX, calibrate in two clicks — and you're ready to ride.

How long does setup take?

In under 2 minutes, your trainer becomes a virtual wind tunnel…
Under 2 minutes. Place your webcam about 1.3 m in front of your trainer — on a tripod, a shelf, or even on a chair. Launch AeroX on your computer, click both ends of your handlebar to calibrate distance and width: done. The first time, you also set the camera-to-bike distance. These settings are saved: next sessions, you just launch and ride. AeroX automatically detects your smart trainer and heart rate strap via Bluetooth — no complex configuration. If your trainer isn’t interactive, you can still use visual analysis mode to see your frontal area change in real time. For comparison, a wind tunnel session requires 2 to 4 hours of travel and setup. With AeroX, you go from setup to pedaling in 120 seconds.

Is my trainer or sensor compatible with AeroX?

Compatible with 95% of smart trainers — probably yours…
AeroX is compatible with 95% of smart trainers on the market via Bluetooth FTMS: Wahoo Kickr, Elite Direto and Suito, Tacx Neo and Flux, Saris H3, and most recent models. For basic aero analysis (real-time CdA measurement), a smart trainer isn’t mandatory — a simple webcam and your bike on a support are enough. Power Mode and Speed Mode require an FTMS trainer to link resistance to your position. Heart rate monitors from Garmin, Polar and Suunto are supported. AeroX runs on macOS and Windows — no tablet or smartphone needed for the main screen. If your trainer doesn’t appear in the list, contact us: we regularly add new models. In short, if you already ride on Zwift or MyWhoosh, your equipment is compatible with AeroX.

Innovation or gadget?

Neither — AeroX is a paradigm shift in training: your speed becomes your priority
20 years ago, the heart rate monitor was a gadget. Today, no one trains without one. 10 years ago, the power meter was reserved for pros. Today, most serious cyclists use one. Aerodynamics is the next lever to democratize — and that's exactly what AeroX does. Built by Olivier Demichel, former CNRS researcher and triathlete, AeroX uses AI-powered video analysis to measure your frontal area in real time. This isn't a theoretical estimate: it's a physical measurement of your silhouette, frame by frame, with 3% repeatability. The gains are concrete and measured: +2 to 3 km/h on average across 300+ sessions. AeroX doesn't replace your power meter — it complements it by adding the aerodynamic dimension that no one was measuring on a smart trainer until now.

I ride in a bunch — is this still useful?

Yes — unless you plan to stay at the back!
Cycling isn’t just sitting in the bunch. Echelons, breakaways, pulling — aero makes the difference. With +3 km/h, you might enjoy attacking.

Do I need a subscription to find and test my optimal position?

Test with the free plan, progress with a subscription
You can try AeroX from day one with the free plan: analyze your position, measure your CdA, see the impact of each adjustment in real time. That's enough to discover your main aero levers and see the possible gains. The subscription unlocks advanced features: Power Mode to link your position to your watts, Speed Mode where trainer resistance adapts to your aerodynamics, GPX simulation to prepare a real course, and time trials with rankings. Above all, the subscription turns a one-time discovery into a lasting habit. Holding an efficient aero position doesn't happen by chance — it's a technical skill that requires repetition, like pedaling out of the saddle or accelerating out of a corner. With regular training on AeroX, your aero position becomes a natural reflex: your sixth sense when you ride outdoors.

I’m already used to an aero position — is this still useful?

Being used to it doesn’t mean being optimized — AeroX shows you the difference
Being in position isn't enough — it also needs to be effective. Most cyclists think they're aerodynamic while invisible details cost them 10 to 30 watts: head 3 cm too high, elbows 5 cm too wide, shoulders not tucked in. Without objective measurement, you can't know. AeroX makes these details visible in real time: you adjust your head, your CdA drops 2% — you see it instantly on screen. Our measurements show that even experienced cyclists still gain 1 to 2 km/h by refining their position with objective feedback. Moreover, your position degrades with fatigue: AeroX shows you how your CdA evolves throughout the session, so you learn to hold an efficient position even after 2 hours of effort. It's the difference between thinking you're aero and measuring it.
